Easy Donuts For Your Valentine
Donuts are perfect for every single occasion – and these easy donuts for your valentine
made from a can of refrigerator biscuits can be made for every single occasion on any given day!
One of my favorite things about Valentine’s Day is making fun (and tasty) things for the man I love, and these donuts hit the spot for an easy breakfast or dessert! They’re so simple and so so delicious.
EASY DONUTS FROM REFRIGERATOR BISCUITS
- Can of Refrigerator Biscuits
- Vegetable Oil
- Powdered Sugar
- Chocolate Icing
- Sprinkles
First, roll your refrigerator biscuits out. With a knife or some cookie cutters, cut heart shapes into your dough.
Once all your heart shapes are cut out, heat your oil. Grab a scrap of dough, about a 1″ round ball, and slowly enter it into your oil. Let it brown up, flip it and with metal tongs, pull it out gently and place it on a paper towel. This helps you know if the oil is ready and how long the donuts should be in the oil.
Begin placing your donuts in one at a time, carefully removing them before they get *too* brown.
Once they’re out, pat dry and cover with either powdered sugar or icing. My personal favorite kind is to use a can of chocolate frosting, and then dunk them into colorful sprinkles. There’s just something about the texture that makes the donuts irresistible but also makes you feel like a kid again.
These donuts are so simple to make and would be a crowd pleaser for your valentines (or valentines!) brunch. I also love them because they’re so inexpensive to make and they come straight from the heart.
