Strawberry Lemonade is truly one of my favorite summertime drinks. A couple of weeks ago, I ended up with a bag full of lemons – I always buy more than I need. Anyone else out there do that? I had been thinking of squeezing them to make lemonade — because when life gives you lemons…
Anyway, I didn’t have a recipe to go off of, so I just started squeezing, and then I added a little bit of sugar, water, and a handful of frozen strawberries — and I had a super delectable treat in my hands.
What I love most about it is that it’s delicious. Next to that, it’s not loaded with sugar and is truly hydrating!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Two lemons, squeezed. (I use this squeezer)
Handful of frozen strawberries
about 1/4 c. white sugar
4 c. water
What you’ll do is put all of it in your blender, and then blend until smooth. Simple, simple. If you don’t have a blender, you’ll want to use fresh strawberries and muddle them until pureed. Also, you’ll want to create a simple syrup to be sure the sugar fully dissolves.
