Have you ever been to Oklahoma? There’s this great dairy called Braums – they’re famous for their milk, but they also serve diner food and most of their stores have a little grocery store in it too. Well, it’s basically the best place and stop to get ice cream. Recently, my husbands coworkers had him order a drink off the “secret menu” – a root beer freeze. I truly don’t know why I’ve been ordering frozen yogurt this whole time after tasting it!
When we went recently, I went inside to watch them make it and grab their secret recipe – it was way easier than I thought.
I decided this week I needed to put my popsicle mold to good use and make some Root Beer Float Popsicles! They’re very simple to make – and they are so, so, so delicious. I’m not even exaggerating, you guys!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Vanilla Ice Cream
Some kind of mixer. I used my Vitamix, but you could do this with any blender or even a whisk!
First, measure approximately two cups of Vanilla Ice Cream, more or less depending on the size of your molds and how many you would like to make.
Then, pour in approximately 3/4c. of root beer, and mix together using a blender or vitamix.
Last, gently pour them into your popsicle molds, and freeze for about an hour. Insert your popsicle sticks and then freeze again for approximately 6 hours.
Once you’re ready to devour, run warm water on the sides of the popsicle mold to gently pull them out. Enjoy!
